Job Overview
This Assistant Manager Sales position focuses on aiding in the identification and management of sales prospects. The role supports proper and timely business handover to ensure efficient service delivery and leads daily sales activities emphasizing the cultivation of enduring, value-driven customer relations that help meet sales targets. Achieving personal sales goals is also a key responsibility.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience:
- Possess a 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related fields plus 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related professional domain.
- Alternatively, hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree in the above-mentioned majors with no prior work experience necessary.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with off-site sales channels to ensure coordinated, complementary, and non-repetitive sales efforts.
- Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective customers through sales calls, entertainment, familiarization trips, trade shows, and other activities to foster future bookings.
- Engage with the local community to broaden and solidify the customer base for sales opportunities.
- Support managing relationships with vital internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and thorough turnover documentation for the Event Management team.
- Participate in sales calls alongside team members to generate new business or secure existing prospects.
- Assist in operational tasks related to booked business such as preparing proposals, drafting contracts, and customer correspondence.
- Identify new business prospects to meet personal and organizational revenue objectives.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic factors, supply and demand dynamics, and leverage this knowledge to capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Help finalize the best business deals for the location considering market conditions and organizational needs.
- Understand the primary customer base and service expectations to deliver tailored business solutions aligned with their specific needs and concerns.
- Enhance customer loyalty by upholding exceptional service standards throughout the customer experience.
- Grow the share of accounts by effectively servicing existing customers.
- Adhere to and promote the company’s customer service standards consistently.
- Lead by example in fostering excellent guest relations and actively seek guest feedback on product quality and service levels.
