Job Overview
The Applications & DevOps Consultant will lead post-sales engagements by analyzing and adapting solution designs according to evolving client requirements. The role involves designing, planning, and executing cloud or on-premises migrations, evaluating existing on-premises environments, and proposing effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead proof of concepts (POCs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) to successfully convert opportunities from both presales and implementation perspectives.
- Assist clients in designing scalable, highly available application architectures using Microsoft services.
- Collaborate closely with client business, development, and infrastructure teams as a technical consultant.
- Provide expertise in both application development and infrastructure domains.
- Implement DevOps methodologies, including infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and automated deployments.
- Support application and data modernization through involvement in design, development, review, and testing phases.
- Ensure data storage and processing systems operate efficiently while complying with company security policies and cloud security best practices.
- Deliver advanced software architecture knowledge related to cloud architectures and design patterns.
- Detect, analyze, and resolve vulnerabilities in infrastructure and application deployment challenges.
- Work alongside engineering and development teams to assess and select optimal cloud solutions.
- Develop and execute migration roadmaps to modernize applications and transition them to Microsoft Azure.
- Utilize tools such as ARM templates, Azure Policy, and Blueprints within integrated Azure deployment pipelines.
- Contribute actively to internal research and development initiatives and participate in the wider professional community.
- Follow New Signature and client information security frameworks to maintain compliance at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant technical skills to provide expert consulting to prospective customers.
- Lead technical sales engagements and calls.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years relevant experience in Google Cloud database migration, presales, postsales, or cloud/database specialization.
- Hands-on experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, combined with practical exposure to cloud migrations.
- Certification credentials preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer or Architect.
