About the Company
Zenergize is a rapidly expanding deep-tech startup led by IIT and IIM alumni. The company develops intelligent EV charging and energy solutions using EV, IoT, AI, and energy technologies to support India’s shift toward cleaner energy infrastructure.
Role Overview
As an Application Engineer, you will act as the technical link between Zenergize’s products and the customers, dealers, and installers who use them. The role spans grid-tied solar inverters and AC/DC EV chargers, with support from the company’s cloud monitoring platform, ZenSense.
Responsibilities
- Help with pre-sales work by assisting in inverter and charger sizing, creating basic system designs, and resolving technical questions from dealers, installers, and customers.
- Support commissioning activities at sites, verify installations, and handle initial-level troubleshooting for grid-tied solar inverters and EV chargers.
- Leverage ZenSense to remotely track units, access telemetry, and identify problems before and after products are dispatched.
- Conduct product demonstrations and deliver introductory training for dealers and field teams.
- Contribute to internal testing and validation efforts while sharing field learnings with the engineering and product functions.
Requirements
- A B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, or a related discipline, with 1–3 years of experience preferred.
- Strong grounding in electrical and electronics concepts; exposure to solar PV systems or EV charging is an added advantage.
- Ability to read datasheets and wiring diagrams, and familiarity with basic test equipment such as a multimeter, oscilloscope, and clamp meter.
- Readiness to travel for site visits and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Additional advantage for candidates familiar with MQTT, OCPP, basic networking, or practical experience with inverters and chargers.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics and Computer Engineering.
Additional Information
The role involves both inverter and EV charger product lines and includes field support, remote diagnostics, product demos, training, and feedback to engineering. Travel may be required for site visits. The position is based in Gurugram, India.
