Job Overview and Responsibilities
The role involves installing and configuring Atlassian tools such as Jenkins and Confluence both in cloud environments and on-premise setups. The consultant will handle Git operations including branching strategies and user permission management. Extensive customization of Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence is expected. This includes creating custom workflows, fields, conditions, validators, post-transitions, and managing other project-specific components within Jira.
Management of Jira and Confluence plugins, updates, and upgrades forms a crucial part of the responsibilities. The candidate will use PowerShell, shell scripting, and Python scripts to address various operational requests. Maintaining the Jira instance efficiently to enable seamless integration with other Atlassian tools is also critical.
Additional duties include performing application and system administration tasks such as data backups and scheduling jobs. The role demands expertise in user management, permission control, security implementations including LDAP and Active Directory, artifactory key encryption, and certificate management. Handling user access requests is another vital function.
