Role Overview
The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Eastern Saudi Arabia. The individual will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations such as recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Additional duties involve managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, monitoring expenses and revenues, and assisting with budgeting and cash flow management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks including ledger upkeep, journal entries, and financial report generation.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, invoicing, billing, and reconcile bank statements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control efforts by analyzing financial data and offering insights.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with audit preparation and internal control improvements.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial analysis that supports pricing, cost management, and overall business performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in general accounting principles including ledger management and financial statement preparation.
- Experienced in handling accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Knowledgeable in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control methodologies.
- Comfortable using accounting software and digital financial tools such as ERP systems and Excel.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in financial data entry and record maintenance.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work alongside operations and management teams.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications like CPA or SOCPA are advantageous.
- Previous experience in accounting within service, hospitality, or wellness industries is preferred.
- Ready to work full-time onsite in Eastern Saudi Arabia in a dynamic work environment.
