Role Overview

This position involves creating, updating, and validating technical documentation related to aircraft wiring by utilizing authoring tools such as Isodraw. The responsibilities include managing wiring manuals, electrical and wiring diagrams, and detailed information about connectors, cables, and routing. The role requires interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, system schematics, pin-to-pin data, and network definitions while adhering strictly to Airbus standards and authoring guidelines including ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D conventions where applicable.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Authoring, editing, and validating aircraft wiring documents using Isodraw.
• Maintaining wiring manuals, electrical diagrams, and wiring diagrams along with connector, cable, and routing data.
• Interpreting electrical wiring diagrams (EWDs), system schematics, pin-to-pin connections, and network definitions.
• Ensuring compliance with Airbus specifications and authoring guidelines like ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D.
• Managing document revisions, effective dates, and configuration control within the CSDB environment.
• Performing self-audits and assisting peer reviews to guarantee data accuracy and quality.
• Collaborating closely with electrical design, system engineering, configuration management, quality teams, and customer technical contacts.
• Supporting audits, customer review sessions, and changes impact assessments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience working with Isodraw software tools.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft electrical and wiring systems, including wire types, connectors, splices, backshells, clamps, and routing conventions.
• Understanding electrical bonding and grounding principles.
• Ability to accurately interpret wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering drawings, and modification documentation.
• Familiarity with structured authoring methods and configuration management data base (CSDB) concepts.
• Strong domain expertise in aircraft wiring design, maintenance principles, and aerospace industry electrical standards.
• Comprehensive grasp of aerospace technical documentation life cycle processes.
