Overview
This role involves delivering reliable administrative and operational support within the warehouse, ensuring excellent service for internal teams and external clients. The position is responsible for guaranteeing the secure and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse inventory and products.
Reporting
The Warehouse Operator / Admin reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Core Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the warehouse team, enforcing process adherence and maintaining high standards.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in reconciling stock counts using Excel and investigate any discrepancies found.
- Update system stock records with correct stock adjustments to keep physical and system inventories aligned.
- Maintain complete and accurate stock documentation, adjustments, audits, and related records.
- Manage system transfers of stock between different locations and statuses.
- Organize and file all warehouse documentation diligently.
- Oversee and regulate email communications related to warehouse operations.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with all departments across the company.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring own safety and that of others while following company policies and legal regulations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods from receipt through to dispatch.
- Store products accurately in appropriate locations to support operational and customer demands.
- Handle stock movement either manually or using forklift equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to contribute to smooth warehouse functioning.
- Participate in loading bay activities as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Reachtruck, Counterbalance, and Power Pallet licenses.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills combined with effective communication abilities.
- Proficient with MS Excel and confident in using other MS Office applications.
- Attention to detail paired with excellent administrative and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
- Self-motivated with initiative and a readiness to share ideas.
- Positive, proactive team player with a practical, hands-on attitude.
Additional Information
