Job Opening: Visual Designer (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Visual Designer, also referred to as a Graphic Designer, Communications Designer, or Media Designer, to join our team in full-time capacity. This role has a specific focus on Packaging Design.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve product and secondary packaging, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Develop packaging concepts for new products and optimize existing ones.
• Adapt existing packaging designs for various countries, languages, and product variations.
• Create, review, and approve print-ready artwork and production data.
• Implement layout adjustments considering legal labeling requirements and product-specific needs.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, quality management, and external print shops and packaging suppliers.
• Coordinate print data, die-cut contours, varnishes, special colors, and finishes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate design standards and technical print specifications.
• Manage and maintain packaging data, layout versions, and print materials.
• Design additional marketing materials for both print and digital platforms.

Requirements

• Completed degree or apprenticeship in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Media Design, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in Packaging Design, packaging creation, or print pre-press is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of print pre-press, final artwork preparation, and print data creation.
• Experience with die-cut contours, color management, special colors (Pantone), varnishes, and finishes.
• Skilled in handling multilingual layout adaptations and extensive packaging projects.
• Knowledge of legal labeling requirements and product-specific mandatory information is beneficial.
• High quality awareness and a keen eye for detail.
• Structured, precise, and self-reliant work approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
• Excellent German language skills; English proficiency is a plus.
