About the Program
Reliance Jio is inviting applications for the position of Network Diploma Engineer Trainee based in Kolkata. This training program spans 12 months and includes a comprehensive induction of 2 weeks at SHQ/RHQ followed by 7 days of hands-on On the Job Training at JC. Regular performance evaluations and periodic training sessions are held to enhance skills and close knowledge gaps. Certified apprentices are subsequently appointed as Network Diploma Engineer Trainees, with constant support from the Network training team. This program blends practical classroom learning, exposure to real scenarios, and focused interventions to accelerate growth.
Career Path
- Apprentice (Diploma Engineer Trainee) for 12 months with a stipend of Rs. 12,000 per month (including Rs. 8,000 from the company and Rs. 4,000 governmental contribution)
- Network Diploma Engineer Trainee for months 13 to 24 with a gross monthly salary of Rs. 25,000
- Field Engineer from the 25th month onwards with a monthly salary of Rs. 30,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 60% score in 10th, 12th, and diploma examinations with no backlogs or gaps
- Diploma holders in Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical & Electronics only
- Zero professional experience; candidates must not have an active UAN
- Applicants must not have previously undergone or currently be engaged in apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973 in any government, public sector, or private industrial organization
- Local candidates fluent in the local language (Son of Soil)
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support for network element rollout activities
- Performing surveys, audits, and supervision of new network deployments
- Assisting new enterprise and mobility customers
- Resolving network complaints by closing trouble tickets
- Conducting network testing and supporting performance management tasks
