Technical Application Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable Technical Application Engineer to join our global sales team based in Dubai. This junior-level position involves providing vital support for project inquiries and preparing detailed specifications by generating quotations and layout designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with project proposals and compile technical documentation.
• Develop lighting designs to meet specified illumination levels and visual effects.
• Advise on appropriate lighting solutions aligning with the product range and project needs.
• Complete project submissions including cost estimates, lighting calculations, layout plans, and all technical documentation.
• Produce compelling product presentations targeted at designers and clients.
• Offer technical assistance and maintain effective communication with designers, partners, and clients through meetings and presentations.
• Foster strong customer relationships and proactively address client requirements throughout the project stages.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years experience in construction, electrical, or lighting sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of DIALux evo and Relux software is beneficial.
• Experience with ERP platforms like Microsoft Dynamics AX and Salesforce is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3DS Max, Sketchup, and Revit is an additional advantage.
• Skilled in preparing project submission documents.
• Basic knowledge of lighting control and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as DALI, 0/1–10 V dimming, phase-cut dimming, and Casambi wireless controls is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities with a focus on customer service.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
