Tech Planning Expert

Role Overview

This position focuses on supporting the creation and implementation of technology planning initiatives, particularly for MCN (Mobile Core Network) and BCN (Broadband Core Network) domains. The incumbent will be pivotal in converting service-related requirements into actionable technical deliverables, assessing budgetary needs, and enabling strategic infrastructure expansions. All activities are to be executed in alignment with company procedures and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks to transform MCN and BCN service/network requirements into precise technical documentation, SLAs, and feature definitions.
• Interpret the architectural and design blueprints of MCN and BCN technologies into executable technology delivery plans, including site and node numbers, required platforms, and resilience standards to maintain optimal nationwide service.
• Perform ongoing evaluations of anticipated network demands, testing methods, and the broader business and technology architecture, ensuring readiness for next-generation services.
• Design and recommend scalable infrastructure strategies for effortless support of future technological advancements and seamless integration of innovations.
• Forecast budgetary allocations and future outlays associated with network advancements, emerging technologies, and service upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Strategy & Governance, Finance, and Commercial teams to monitor and manage expenditure, aiming for efficient deployment of infrastructure investments.
• Assist in harmonizing technology investment strategies with overall financial goals in concert with financial management teams.
• Participate in lab and field testing to guarantee that network and application performance standards, as well as agreed service levels, are satisfied prior to system rollout.
• Conduct benchmarking assessments to guarantee testing standards keep pace with shifting network and user demands.
• Support the creation and demonstration of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to potential MCN and BCN clientele, thereby reinforcing the technological strengths and commercial appeal of solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline is mandatory.
• Between 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in technology planning or related areas is preferred.
