Role Overview
Muiríosa Foundation is hiring a Support Worker for the Kildare Day Services team in County Kildare. This position is based onsite and is described as a permanent role with 78 hours per fortnight.
The role sits within a collaborative service team focused on helping people build everyday independence, take part in their community, and improve their health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will also support individuals to stay motivated, explore personal interests, and work toward meaningful life goals.
The organisation is seeking someone who is driven, positive, and encouraging, with the ability to help people lead a more rewarding and supported life.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with developing independent living abilities.
- Encourage community participation and inclusion.
- Promote personal health and wellbeing.
- Motivate and guide individuals in pursuing interests and life ambitions.
- Work as part of a dynamic team delivering support within Kildare Services.
Requirements
- Hold a FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, or an equivalent qualification, or be willing to complete QQI Level 5 training.
- Have awareness of New Directions Interim Standards and Person Centred Plans.
- Possess a valid full driving licence for a manual vehicle in Ireland.
- Prior experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or visual/hearing loss is strongly preferred.
- Be organised, capable of managing logistics, and comfortable using IT tools.
- Be suitable for the role in line with the role introduction and service requirements.
Additional Information
