Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

Duratuf Products Pvt. Ltd., a leading supplier of electrical safety equipment serving over 65 countries through operations in India and the UAE, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. This role, based in Kolkata (HQ), will report to the Operations Head and requires 6 to 10 years of experience. The manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations including demand planning, purchasing, stock control, freight, and trade documentation to ensure timely delivery and efficient inventory management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle within the first two months, ensuring accurate forecasting, stock policies, and replenishment processes.
• Maintain stock levels within defined policy bands for fast-moving products to achieve high forecast accuracy, minimize stock shortages, and meet target inventory turnover.
• Direct inbound operations including managing Bill of Entry, customs clearance, Customs House Agent liaison, and international freight coordination for suppliers.
• Ensure supplier deliveries meet On-Time In-Full (OTIF) targets for strategic international vendors by implementing a systematic expediting routine.
• Manage export dispatches from Kolkata and Bhiwadi routes, handling all related export documentation such as Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Letter of Credit/Telegraphic Transfer, and packing documents, aiming for zero rejections.
• Negotiate freight and vendor costs to reduce landed costs toward engineering should-cost benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure disciplined use of ERP or similar systems for efficient operations and performance monitoring.
• Lead and mentor the existing supply chain team managing both inbound and outbound functions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of six years in supply chain roles with at least three years leading demand planning or the full S&OP cycle with accountability for forecast accuracy and stock coverage.
• Direct experience managing import operations (Bill of Entry, customs clearance, CH Agent coordination, inbound freight) and export operations (Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, LC/TT, packing documentation) including named shipping lanes and ports within the past three years.
• Proven track record in vendor and freight negotiation with quantifiable cost savings and specific operational lanes managed.
• Expertise in ERP systems such as Zoho, developing enduring SOPs and dashboards for streamlined process management.
• Background in certified product environments or quality-critical industries is highly advantageous.
• Strictly hands-on with import/export operations recently; managerial or supervisory experience without direct operational involvement will not qualify.
• Currently residing in Kolkata or willing to relocate; ability to join with a notice period of 60 days or less.
