Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst role focuses on developing scalable analytics solutions and performance metrics to enhance reporting systems, tools, and data pipelines. The goal is to create accurate, sustainable insights throughout the global supply chain and drive standardized, efficient, digitally enabled logistics processes while improving data quality and promoting BI dashboard adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and enhance end-to-end planning processes and supply planning SOPs.
- Identify process improvements to manage aging, slow-moving, and short shelf-life inventory to minimize waste.
- Work closely with supply planners to eliminate errors, duplications, and manual workarounds.
- Collaborate with business units to classify items by ABC categories and suggest safety stock levels.
- Monitor and enhance data accuracy affecting service levels and costs.
- Automate manual reporting and boost self-service capabilities.
- Develop standardized report templates for supply chain and leadership use.
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, precise, and aligned with business expectations.
- Lead small-scale projects aimed at process and system improvements.
- Provide functional support and first-level troubleshooting for the supply chain system (M3).
- Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and escalation to IT when needed.
- Support system enhancement activities including UAT and deployment related to EDI and new Infor features.
- Encourage effective use of digital tools for planning execution and visibility, creating exception-based reporting for planners.
- Design, build, and refine BI solutions using Power BI or Excel-based models.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Communicate demand changes driven by promotions, seasonality, and product phasing to product management.
- Engage with transportation, warehouse operations, finance, and product management to share relevant supply information.
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop corresponding corrective actions.
- Assess technology needs for current and proposed business requirements.
- Analyze historical sales trends, budgets, forecast drivers, and develop statistical forecasting models.
- Contribute to inventory strategy creation for existing products, new launches, and phase-outs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or engineering fields.
- Five to eight or more years of experience in the supply chain sector.
- Preferred background in procurement or logistics within the food industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Expertise in Business Intelligence and analytics, with strong skills in dashboard/report development using Power BI or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data mining and analysis tools such as SQL and Python.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities focused on data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills including listening, writing, speaking, and presenting to groups.
- Ability to liaise effectively across organizational levels.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary ranges from $68,000 to $78,000, plus a bonus. The company will relocate its headquarters to Madison, NJ in Q1 2027; candidates should be willing to accommodate this move.
