Role Overview
As part of the inaugural engineering internship cohort, you'll contribute to enhancing Notion’s performance and reliability. This 12-week internship, running from September 14 to December 4, 2026, requires full-time presence in our San Francisco office. You will be paired with a mentor and collaborate closely with our team on AI-native projects that directly benefit our customers and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, secure, well-tested, and documented software code.
- Innovate and expand Notion’s features with an AI-first perspective.
- Work across the full technical stack including web services, databases, applications, and tools using modern frameworks and technologies.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, with graduation expected before Summer 2027.
- Previous internship experience is required.
- Working proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
- Ability to tackle complex challenges and a passion for identifying and solving problems.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic work environments.
- Availability for full-time, onsite work at the San Francisco office during the internship period.

Compensation & Benefits
Notion offers competitive pay, equity options, and benefits. For this position in San Francisco, hourly pay ranges from $57 for bachelor’s degree holders to $61 for master’s degree holders. Compensation is based on factors like role complexity, experience, and location.
