Internship Overview
As a part of the inaugural engineering internship cohort, you will contribute to projects that build the foundation for Notion's future innovation. Over a 12-week period, from September 14 to December 4, you will collaborate closely with a mentor and the engineering team in the San Francisco office to develop and launch AI-native features that enhance the experiences of millions of Notion users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, secure, well-tested, and well-documented codebases.
- Design and expand Notion's products by integrating AI-first features.
- Contribute across the full technology stack including web services, databases, applications, and tools using up-to-date frameworks and development tools.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, with the intention to graduate before Summer 2027.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.
- Proficient or working towards proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
- Strong enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges, problem identification, and problem solving.
- Adaptability in a fast-changing, dynamic work environment.
- Availability to work onsite in San Francisco from September 14 to December 4 in accordance with the fall semester schedule.

- Passion for AI: Experience or interest in building or prototyping solutions using AI technologies including large language models, embeddings, or machine learning.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity
Notion offers competitive pay, equity, and benefits. For this role located in San Francisco, hourly compensation is approximately $57 for Bachelor's degree candidates and $61 for Master's degree candidates. Additional Notes on AI
