Role Overview
This position is for a Software Engineer III focused on core engineering work in Chennai. The role follows a hybrid setup with four days per week in the office.

What You Will Do
This role covers end-to-end software delivery, from architecture and coding through testing and deployment. It also includes full-stack development responsibilities where needed, spanning both user-facing and server-side components.
- Work closely with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and expectations, and translate that understanding into user-focused software solutions.
- Tackle complex technical problems by building solutions with the right mix of tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies, and technologies, including agile practices.
- Review application or service needs and choose the most suitable technology stack, integration approach, and deployment model.
- Design high-level architecture that defines the structure, components, and interfaces of the application.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as product owners, designers, and architects.
- Set up and enforce software testing strategies, standards, policies, and processes that align with organizational goals, industry rules, and best practices.
- Improve performance continuously, optimize the application, and introduce new technologies that increase development efficiency.
- Apply engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Support security measures that protect user data, including encryption and anonymization.
- Build interfaces that are intuitive and easy to use.
- Develop and support backend systems such as APIs and microservices using server-side programming languages.
- Assess emerging technologies and capabilities and contribute to solutioning for newer stack layers, including collaboration across industry contexts.
Required Experience
The role expects strong software engineering experience, including practical work in two programming languages or advanced proficiency in one language. Overall experience required is 6+ years in IT, including 4+ years in development.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on delivery experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, covering design, development, and deployment.
- At least 3 years of exposure to cloud deployment on GCP, container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and SonarQube.
- Ability to analyze functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders and apply design principles within CI/CD pipelines for scalability and resilience.
- Experience designing or implementing CI/CD architectures using tools such as Tekton, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, and ArgoCD, along with the ability to recommend best-practice approaches for large-scale, resilient pipelines used by multiple applications.
