Senior Software Engineer - .NET

Job Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in .NET, you will be responsible for creating and deploying information systems by designing, developing, and implementing robust software solutions. This role is critical in ensuring high performance, maintainability, and security of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement all facets of an application including high-performance architecture, coding standards, caching, security, encryption, state management, error handling, debugging, scalability, and testing.
• Develop and maintain application frameworks and project processes using existing technologies in a structured and sustainable manner.
• Create optimized stored procedures and queries in MS SQL Server.
• Assess and enhance application performance and scalability.
• Coordinate project requirements analysis, software design, and implementation.
• Work closely with deployment and development teams to improve customer and developer experience.
• Execute unit and system testing for applications.
• Collaborate with product development, management, design, and service teams, supporting upgrade testing and resolving related issues.
• Handle customer escalations efficiently.
• Develop automation tools, scripts, and utilities to improve workflows.
• Ensure protection and appropriate disclosure of patients’ protected health information (PHI) following HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to information security and HIPAA policies continuously.
• Restrict PHI access strictly to necessary tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with .NET technologies including .NET Core and ASP.NET MVC (version 4.0 or higher), with proficiency in C#.
• At least 3 years working with client-side frameworks such as React, VueJS, or Angular.
• Over 5 years of experience with SQL Server, including writing efficient SQL queries.
• Proficiency in Entity Framework Core (version 6.0 or above) and LINQ.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture design.
• Hands-on experience publishing and consuming RESTful APIs; skilled with tools like Postman.
• Experience preparing unit tests using frameworks such as xUnit.
• Proficient with distributed source control systems like GIT.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Solid foundation in computer science principles including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with Blazor front-end development (both Interactive Server and WebAssembly) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of integration testing with Docker containers is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a bonus.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting at all organizational levels.

Working Conditions

• Work week runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, indicating night shift hours for other time zones.
• Position is full-time, permanent, and fully remote.
• Must have a smartphone or electronic device capable of supporting multifactor authentication applications for security purposes.
• Physical demands include occasional movement around the workspace, sitting, manual tasks, operating office equipment, extending arms, kneeling, speaking, and hearing.
• Mental demands require ability to follow instructions, collaborate effectively, and manage stress.
• Workplace noise levels are typically low.
