About the Role
The Senior Sales Associate serves as a frontline leader within retail stores, aiming to provide outstanding customer experiences, drive sales results, and maintain operational excellence with a strong focus on customer needs and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers by understanding their preferences and delivering personalized solutions.
- Address customer issues professionally and ensure complete satisfaction while gathering feedback to enhance product and service offerings.
- Drive sales by meeting store targets through solution-based selling aligned with customer requirements.
- Promote higher-value products to increase transaction worth using upselling and cross-selling techniques while effectively handling objections and negotiations.
- Adapt quickly to changing customer demands and share insights with the sales team to improve overall service.
- Utilize problem-solving capabilities to overcome challenges and resistances.
- Make informed decisions for store operations independently in the absence of the Store Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Prevent inventory shrinkage by closely monitoring stock levels and discrepancies, assisting with replenishment, stock audits, and managing turnover processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records aligned with company policies and follow established standard operating procedures, escalating any bottlenecks promptly.
- Take responsibility for urgent issues including complex customer escalations, ensuring professional resolution.
- Lead by example, fostering accountability, ethical conduct, and goal-oriented performance within the team.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new and existing team members to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with at least 2 years of retail experience, or graduates with similar retail experience.
- Age between 20 and 35 years.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven consistent achievement of sales targets.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service and building strong client relationships.
- Skills in mentoring and coaching team members.
- Competence in cash handling and inventory control.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology.
- Understanding of visual merchandising techniques.
- Positive attitude with enthusiasm and excellent grooming and presentation standards.
- Flexibility to work in varying shift patterns.
