Supply Chain Role

The Supply Chain team manages material, product, and component flow critical to production and customer missions, including assembly kit preparation, inventory, shipping, procurement, and quality compliance.

Role Overview

The Senior Production Coordinator, based at Auckland, NZ, plays an active role ensuring production is supplied with necessary materials, monitoring and updating work order status, expediting deliveries, and resolving obstacles to on-time completion. This position supports production planners to guarantee timely material delivery across the global production system, with growth opportunities into production planning roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely issuance of shopfloor items to production work orders.
• Conduct routine visits to assigned departments to manage material movements and kanban systems.
• Maintain accuracy and organization of lineside inventory, including cycle counts.
• Track order lines in inventory and flag risks of delayed delivery.
• Oversee perishable inventory and consumables, escalating risks to production timelines.
• Address and resolve material blockages hindering order completion.
• Assist in prioritizing and expediting subassemblies to meet vehicle integration schedules.
• Collaborate across functions to support company objectives.
• Assist other supply chain teams as needed and perform additional role-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus at least 4 years’ experience in fast-paced manufacturing production roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills for task management and status reporting.
• Ability to multitask effectively, manage priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational abilities and prioritization skills.
• Capability or willingness to operate forklifts and other necessary equipment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in manufacturing, business, or supply chain disciplines is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods working on computer systems and office devices.
• Good visual capability to review documents and screens, distinguishing details at various distances.
• Mobility to move across different buildings and work areas as needed.
• Occasional exposure to moderate production environment conditions such as noise, dust, and fumes.
