This opportunity sits within a fast-growing European buy-and-build platform focused on IT managed services and cloud businesses. Backed by a respected family office and connected to a wider digital services group, the company has built a strong track record of buying and growing founder-led businesses and has secured a leading position in its home market.

After establishing itself in Germany, the business is now stepping up its European growth, with particular emphasis on the DACH region. A local team is being assembled to support an ambitious acquisition programme, with the aim of completing several deals each year and broadening the company’s market footprint. The role offers an early-stage entry point into a highly entrepreneurial platform where you can help influence the direction of expansion.

You will join at a key moment in the firm’s growth and contribute to the development of the German and wider DACH strategy. The position provides substantial exposure to high-profile acquisitions in a private equity-style environment that moves quickly and requires commercial judgement.

Working alongside an experienced international deal team, you will take ownership of a broad range of transaction work across the full lifecycle. You will also work directly with founders, management teams, investors, and senior decision-makers across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A transactions from early sourcing through to closing.
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities by reviewing financial results, market position, and potential value creation.
• Develop and update financial models, including valuation work and investment case analysis.
• Prepare deal documents such as investment memoranda, pitch materials, and due diligence packs.
• Help coordinate due diligence activities with internal teams and external advisers.
• Speak with founders and management teams to assess business models and strategic alignment.
• Build and maintain relationships with advisers, intermediaries, and industry specialists to assist sourcing efforts.
• Contribute to a healthy pipeline of potential acquisitions.
• Assist with negotiations and transaction execution.
• Support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team development within a growing DACH M&A team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a similar discipline, with strong academic results.
• Background in M&A, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, or corporate finance.
• Previous exposure to end-to-end transaction work is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capability, including building models from the ground up.
• Good understanding of accounting, including analysis of financial statements prepared under German GAAP.
• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound commercial judgement.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
• Confident communicator who can engage senior stakeholders effectively.
• Native-level German and fluent English.
• Willingness to travel across the DACH region and occasionally internationally.

Compensation

Salary is €60,000 plus bonus.
