Senior Data Scientist

Overview

Careernet is hiring for a Senior Data Scientist role with a large global organization in Hyderabad. The position focuses on predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and building scalable machine learning solutions.

What you will do

• Develop forecasting and time-series models using statistical and Bayesian methods.
• Create, train, and assess deep learning models, including CNN-based approaches, for prediction use cases.
• Analyze data and engineer features that strengthen model accuracy and stability.
• Design complete ML workflows covering experimentation, validation, and monitoring considerations.
• Work with MySQL-based data and contribute to scalable data and machine learning pipelines in Databricks.

Required skills and experience

• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in data science and predictive modeling.
• Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end predictive modeling and analytics solutions.
• Strong grounding in Bayesian statistics and statistical modeling for forecasting.
• Practical expertise in time series analysis, forecasting, evaluation, and iterative improvement.
• Strong command of Python and deep learning, including CNNs, with integration experience using MySQL-backed data.

Preferred background

• Exposure to analytics, AI/ML delivery, MLOps practices, and Databricks is considered an advantage.

Education

Applicants should have a graduate degree; post-graduate qualifications are also acceptable.
