Senior Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to spearhead the design and technical aspects of intricate, prestigious projects, ranging from concept stages through to detailed design. This role demands substantial expertise in hospitality, mixed-use developments, airports, and luxury villa projects, focusing on pioneering, sustainable, and technically precise architectural solutions. The incumbent will collaborate with diverse teams while showcasing advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) proficiency to ensure harmonized, superior-quality designs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Guide architectural design initiatives across multiple complex project sectors.
• Create innovative, practical, and visually exceptional design solutions.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, detailed, and construction-level documentation.
• Ensure all designs meet client briefs, applicable international standards, and local regulatory criteria.
• Engage actively in design presentations and client-focused workshops.
• Oversee architectural work packages throughout each design phase.
• Coordinate efforts among Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, BIM, and Project Management teams.
• Review and authorize design deliverables prior to submission.
• Address technical design challenges while adhering to project timelines.
• Assist with value engineering exercises, maintaining the integrity of design quality.

BIM and Digital Coordination

• Lead BIM architectural modeling utilizing Autodesk Revit at an advanced level.
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans and organizational BIM standards.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary models using tools like Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Participate in clash detection, model evaluations, and digital coordination sessions.
• Provide mentorship on BIM best practices to junior architectural staff.

Quality Management & Technical Excellence

• Maintain rigorous adherence to company QA/QC protocols for architectural outputs.
• Critically review drawings, specifications, and technical reports to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure consistency with international building codes and industry benchmarks.
• Advocate for design innovation and continuous process improvement.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

• Maintain productive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support Design Managers during technical discussions and meetings.
• Effectively communicate architectural concepts and technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Mentor graduate and junior architects, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture and professional growth.
• Contribute to advancing design workflows and standards across the team.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required; a Master's degree is preferable.
• More than 15 years of experience in architectural design.
• Extensive experience with leading international architecture or engineering consultancies.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing success in hospitality, luxury hotels and resorts, mixed-use developments, airports and aviation, luxury villas, and upscale residential projects.
• Experience in all stages of design including concept, schematic, detailed, and IFC documentation.
• Prior involvement with Middle Eastern projects is highly favorable.

Technical Expertise

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.
• Competency in Rhino, SketchUp, and visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products.
• BIM Level 2 knowledge including model coordination, clash detection, family creation, worksharing, adherence to BIM standards, and digital collaboration.
