Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for comprehensive financial record management, ensuring all accounting records are precise and up to date. This role supports various accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, bank and intercompany reconciliations, compliance with local tax regulations, periodic financial reporting, and audit facilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger by accurately recording all financial transactions including journal entries, receipts, and expenses.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable activities by processing vendor invoices, verifying payment approvals, and monitoring collection of receivables.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and intercompany accounts and review subsidiary ledgers to address discrepancies.
• Support VAT return preparations monthly and quarterly in compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requirements, ensuring all e-invoicing standards are met.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures such as preparing accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare preliminary financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements for managerial review.
• Provide documentation and analytical support during internal and external audits to ensure successful completion of financial audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services, engineering consulting, or corporate settings within Saudi Arabia.
• Registration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) is highly desirable; progress towards CPA, CMA, or ACCA certificates is an advantage.
