Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at a prime location in Caldicot, UK. This role entails providing comprehensive security services to protect employees, property, and assets while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and customer service aligned with core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position requires working 42 hours per week on a rotational schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off during night shifts. The pay rate is £12.99 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Conducting frequent safety and security patrols across the premises.
  • Enforcing compliance with relevant regulations and site procedures.
  • Supporting emergency actions such as evacuations and searches when needed.
  • Maintaining vigilance to report incidents and prevent disruptions.
  • Accurately documenting all activities and shift handovers.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a valid SIA Licence before starting operational shifts is mandatory.
  • First Aid certification is required.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience within the security field.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Legal right to work in the UK with a verifiable 5-year work history.
  • British nationality and continuous UK residency for five years due to site requirements.
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to complete a Fire Safety course provided by the company.
  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of the site.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
