Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager to lead an Agile software development team remotely for Steampunk's major mission system project, integrating systems using MuleSoft within a public sector framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Agile Scrum team overseeing high-priority client projects to ensure consistent delivery of quality software.
- Manage and mentor Steampunk's delivery team members, promoting accountability and removing obstacles impeding progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to support planning, risk mitigation, and project delivery activities.
- Define project scope and schedules focusing on timely value delivery while preparing progress reports and managing deviations.
- Promote Agile principles, coach teams to enhance self-organization, collaboration, and efficient use of time.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops, build shared understanding among stakeholders, and contribute to product and portfolio roadmap development.
- Perform project-related hands-on tasks including analysis, design, and change management as required.
Qualifications
- Reside within the DC area with authorization to work for any U.S. employer.
- Minimum of 4 years experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and SAFe certifications required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education/experience.
- Ability to gain government security clearance.
- Proven skills in fostering team credibility, consensus building, and goal achievement through influence.
- Experience guiding teams in user story and epic writing, identifying interdependencies, and designing optimal solutions.
- Adaptable in working with diverse groups ranging from team members to executives, supporting a variety of work products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with human-centered design studios.
Compensation and Identity Verification
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000, influenced by location, contract terms, education, and experience. Salary is part of a broader benefits package. Candidates must be prepared for video interviews and identity verification during the application process.
