Sales Assistant

Overview

Your local store is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant to work approximately 16 hours per week. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences from greeting shoppers to finalizing their purchases, ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied and motivated to return.

Compensation

Pay rates are structured by age: individuals aged 16-17 receive £8.00 per hour, while those aged 18 and above earn £12.71 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and helpful customer service to enhance the shopping experience at all times.
• Operate tills efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and careful packing of fragile items so customers feel confident in their purchases.
• Assist customers on the shop floor by helping them locate products and offering knowledgeable advice to build loyalty.
• Manage hosting services including product orders using in-store tablets, facilitating home delivery when items are not available on the shelves.
• Deliver tailored Made to Measure services for curtains and blinds, supporting customers to find customized home solutions.
• Maintain appealing product displays, update pricing, and organize shop recovery after peak times.
• Handle stock duties such as receiving deliveries, checking and restocking inventory, ensuring the sales floor is fully supplied and well-organized.
