The company integrates research, technology, and knowledge management to foster rigorous, evidence-based analysis.
Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Research Assistant position in Singapore involves supporting methodical research across diverse subjects. The role entails working with various primary and secondary materials such as papers, reports, articles, and datasets to transform extensive information collections into clear, precise, and well-substantiated findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive desk research and systematic literature reviews across multiple topics.
- Collect, assess, and organize data from reliable primary and secondary sources.
- Analyze and compare claims across sources to identify consensus, contradictions, uncertainties, or gaps in evidence.
- Integrate insights from various sources into succinct research briefs, detailed reports, and presentations.
- Maintain meticulous records of sources and ensure all significant claims have credible citations.
- Organize complex data visually through outlines, tables, diagrams, or knowledge maps when appropriate.
- Prioritize and investigate critical follow-up queries and select sources for deeper analysis.
- Effectively communicate research methodologies, limitations, and findings to team members.
Candidate Qualifications
- Current students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals with research experience gained via coursework, internships, consulting, or independent projects.
- Excellent comprehension, analytical reasoning, and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to critically assess source reliability and differentiate evidence-based information from interpretations or unsupported statements.
- Adaptable to working on unfamiliar topics and managing extensive information volumes.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding citations, quotations, and factual accuracy.
- Capability to work autonomously while articulating decision-making processes and welcoming feedback.
- A background in any research-heavy discipline is advantageous but not mandatory; demonstrated research skills are prioritized over specific academic credentials.
- Open to applicants from academic research, consulting, market research, policy, journalism, business analysis, or related sectors.
