Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all applicable radiation safety regulations and procedures.
• Operate and maintain radiation-producing devices such as X-ray and gamma-ray equipment with precision.
• Apply suitable radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for yourself and others.
• Continuously monitor and log radiation levels during inspection activities.
• Choose the appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) method and tools based on inspection criteria.
• Correctly position and align radiation sources and detectors to capture required imagery or data.
• Analyze radiographic images or data to detect defects or irregularities in materials or components.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports detailing inspection outcomes for stakeholders.
• Guarantee reliability and accuracy of inspection results by following standardized procedures.
• Calibrate and service NDT equipment to maintain operational integrity.
• Engage in continual professional development through training and certification updates on new NDT technologies and methods.
• Collaborate with fellow NDT inspectors, engineers, and technicians to efficiently conduct inspections.
• Effectively communicate with clients to clarify requirements and deliver succinct inspection reports.

Qualifications

• Possess certification in radiographic testing (RT) from a reputable organization such as the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) or equivalent international entities.
• Certification entails passing practical and theoretical exams validating proficiency in radiographic inspection.
• Maintain certification status through periodic training, education, and recertification processes.
