Job description

Role Overview

The Quantity Cost Analyst is chiefly responsible for monitoring and controlling the costs associated with outages in AFS outage operations. This includes building and updating cost tracking models and providing timely cost reporting to relevant stakeholders to enable budget adjustments and mitigation efforts.

Key Duties

  • Develop cost tracking models utilizing historical data, purchase orders, or based on contractual terms.
  • Continually update models, archive them for future reference, and assist in formulating models for upcoming projects.
  • Deploy and manage the SAP Project System effectively.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Back Office teams to monitor actual versus budgeted costs on all outages, covering every cost element involved.
  • Examine and reconcile timesheets for accuracy.
  • Support the Associate Manager – Costing by extracting and verifying Purchase Orders for analyzing discrepancies between planned and actual expenses; forecast potential overruns to allow for corrective action or adjustments.
  • Help prepare CTM reports that feed into Finance’s Profit & Loss reporting.
  • Assist in producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Senior Management and contribute to lessons learned post-season review.
  • Maintain systematic archival records and consolidated reporting documents.

Observe all organizational, departmental policies, standard procedures, and health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines strictly to ensure quality and safety standards are met consistently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree or minimum five years’ experience in cost-related roles.
  • Experience in oil and gas maintenance outages is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is essential.
