About the Role
Arabian Construction Company is searching for a Quality Control Engineer to play a central role in ensuring every construction project meets rigorous quality standards. This position is ideal for those with a strong technical background, excellent inspection abilities, and enthusiasm for enforcing strict engineering standards on-site. You will collaborate across teams to consistently deliver work that upholds the company's reputation for excellence.
Main Duties
- Conduct inspections on civil, architectural, structural, and MEP tasks according to established Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and project guidelines.
- Confirm adherence of construction works to approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Oversee daily site operations to maintain compliance with quality requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and maintain detailed quality records.
- Participate in the review and development of Method Statements, ITPs, and quality assurance documentation.
- Keep accurate logs and regular quality control reports up-to-date.
- Facilitate communication between construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives about all quality-related issues.
- Arrange and participate in site walkdowns and joint inspections with consultants and clients.
- Promptly address issues related to quality and manage corrective action workflows efficiently.
- Identify process improvements and suggest preventive strategies to avoid repeated quality problems.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within project teams.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction quality control engineering.
- Familiarity with large-scale construction projects, such as commercial, residential, or infrastructure developments.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control processes, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Highly detail-oriented, able to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Outstanding skills in communication, coordination, and problem solving.
