Python Developer (Contract, Remote)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This fully remote opportunity offers a compensation range between $50 and $100 per hour with a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and enhance scalable REST and GraphQL API endpoints.
• Implement rigorous data validation, error management, and security protocols in backend services.
• Manage database migrations, optimize performance, and modify schema structures as necessary.
• Participate actively in testing new AI-driven models integrated in Cursor, providing detailed feedback through incident reports, bug analytics, and visual documentation.
• Engage in intensive 4-day testing cycles to assess the impact of AI models on practical coding processes.
• Collaborate with the research team through a dedicated communication channel to share insights and recommend enhancements.
• Complete comprehensive post-testing surveys to deliver feedback on model effectiveness and developer usability.

Required Qualifications

• Proven background as a backend developer with strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Deep understanding of backend data validation techniques, error handling strategies, and API security measures.
• Hands-on skills in managing database migrations, performance tuning, and database schema design.
• Regular use of AI coding tools, with Cursor familiarity considered a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate incidents and bugs clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, confidential, and collaborative remote work environment.
