Job description
Position Overview
This full-time permanent position is for a Quantity Surveyor role located in County Donegal, Ireland. The role focuses on large-scale building projects valued over €20 million, particularly involving civil, structural, and architectural work packages.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold a third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of four years' experience in a similar position.
- Proven understanding of measurements and cost management across Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) packages.
- Experience with large-scale building projects in Ireland is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administration and process change orders related to CSA work packages.
- Assist in preparing tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities, collaborating with the project team or clients.
- Conduct cost analyses for repair and maintenance projects.
- Aid in defining client requirements and carrying out feasibility studies.
- Implement risk management, value engineering, and cost control strategies.
- Advise on procurement methodologies.
- Identify, assess, and develop strategies for commercial risks.
- Prepare and evaluate costings for tender submissions.
- Distribute work allocations to subcontractors appropriately.
- Offer guidance on contractual claims and contractual matters.
- Assess completed work for valuation and oversee payment arrangements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current building contract types in practice.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary is competitive, starting at €75,000 per year with additional benefits including vehicle provision, pension, and healthcare, subject to experience.
