Job description
Overview
This role involves supporting the end-to-end management of strategic and operational projects to ensure they align with the organization's goals, governance standards, schedules, budgetary constraints, and stakeholder requirements. It focuses on maintaining strong governance, managing risks, delivering regular performance reports, and tracking project outcomes to facilitate successful completion and realization of the company's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor comprehensive project plans and associated models following the company's governance frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and administrative teams to align project efforts with corporate strategies, institutional priorities, and organizational needs.
- Ensure resource allocation and operational support are in place to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Track project milestones, budgets, and key performance indicators, ensuring compliance with approved parameters.
- Organize and participate in regular project meetings to review progress, record decisions, and follow up on required actions.
- Maintain updated risk registers and implement mitigation strategies to proactively manage project risks.
- Verify that all project results achieve quality benchmarks and meet the agreed-upon objectives.
- Produce structured and timely reports for senior management detailing project status, accomplishments, risks, and issues.
- Oversee formal project closure procedures aligned with company governance and documentation standards.
- Compile quarterly and annual reports analyzing performance, capturing lessons learned, and facilitating knowledge transfer among project teams and stakeholders.
- Adhere strictly to the organization's Information Security policies throughout all project activities.
- Execute additional responsibilities as required by the department or delegated by the Head of Section in line with business needs.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
- Preferred professional certifications include PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or PMO-related qualifications.
- At least 3 to 6 years of practical experience in project management, PMO roles, strategic planning, or related fields.
- Previous exposure to organizational governance, performance reporting, and liaison with stakeholders is advantageous.
