The company provides consultation, solutions, services, and manpower across the GCC in areas such as information security, mobility, cloud computing, big data, governance, risk management, and compliance.
Role Summary
The Project Lead will oversee the end-to-end delivery of instrumentation, control, electrical, and automation projects from award through completion. The position is accountable for safe execution, timely delivery, cost control, quality, and alignment with customer expectations.
This role also acts as the central coordination point between clients and internal teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, subcontractors, and project execution functions to keep delivery smooth and communication effective.
Key Responsibilities
Project execution and control
- Guide projects through the full lifecycle, from early planning to final handover and closure.
- Prepare execution plans, project schedules, and resource deployment plans.
- Run project meetings and align technical and commercial actions with all involved parties.
- Track progress, spending, timelines, and deliverables to keep work on course.
- Assess technical documents, engineering outputs, and procurement requirements.
- Manage purchasing follow-up, especially for long-lead materials, supplier coordination, and delivery timing.
- Spot project risks, maintain the risk log, and apply corrective actions.
- Keep project records accurate, including reporting, billing, and close-out documentation.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to process improvement.
Client and stakeholder coordination
- Act as the main contact for customers during project delivery.
- Handle technical clarifications, inspections, and review meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and ensure clear communication.
- Protect client satisfaction through proactive management and follow-through.
Planning and financial control
- Monitor budgets, project costs, and profitability targets.
- Assist with estimating and execution planning.
- Coordinate invoicing, collections, bank guarantees, letters of credit, and related commercial requirements.
- Track project KPIs and share regular status updates with management.
Leadership and team management
- Lead project engineers, technical supervisors, and technicians.
- Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, Finance, and Sales teams.
- Promote teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement across the project group.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- PMP certification is strongly preferred.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of project management experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical, or EPC environments.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from start to finish.
- Background with industrial customers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, or Power is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with budgets, procurement, scheduling, and client communication is required.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Solid understanding of instrumentation, control systems, automation, and MV/LV electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical records.
- Strong grasp of project planning, procurement, risk management, and cost control.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Leadership, delegation, and people management capability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder handling skills.
- Analytical thinking and effective problem-solving.
- Ability to manage several projects at once.
- Good organization and time management discipline.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic will be an added advantage.
