Project Engineer (Viaduct Experience)

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will support the Principal Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager in the daily management and execution of a civil engineering contract focused on viaduct or similar infrastructure projects. The role combines technical project management, coordination, supervision, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on meeting engineering specifications and maintaining the highest standards of site safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior project leaders in overseeing all daily operations and activities related to the contract.
• Provide expert guidance on site-specific quality and workplace safety issues to management.
• Identify and document deviations from contract requirements, specifications, or procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve quality or safety non-conformances, ensuring detailed records are maintained.
• Relay management decisions and resolutions on-site issues to contractors promptly and efficiently.
• Monitor ongoing works to verify adherence to approved plans, drawings, and schedules, while ensuring uncompromised quality and safety.
• Deliver feedback on project site quality and safety matters, and propose improvement measures for implementation.
• Oversee, direct, and support the installation and monitoring of project instrumentation.
• Lead a team of site supervisors to maintain comprehensive oversight and supervision of all operations.
• Participate in the operation of the Project Management Control Centre (PMCC).

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in viaduct, flyover, or cut-and-cover tunnel construction within a project or site setting.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project planning software.
• Practical experience in civil, structural, or geotechnical design work is advantageous.
