Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Engineer to assist in managing hyperscale data center construction from preconstruction through commissioning and completion. This role collaborates closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and client representatives to facilitate project coordination and documentation, ensuring efficient, safe progress across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in daily project coordination and field activities.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and contracts for accuracy and constructability.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to support schedules, quality standards, and key milestones.
- Support scheduling, look-ahead planning, procurement monitoring, and material coordination.
- Participate in quality control inspections, commissioning efforts, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Prepare and update RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, change orders, and project records.
- Monitor progress, workforce deployment, equipment deliveries, and on-site activities.
- Assist with cost tracking, document management, and reporting using software like Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Office tools.
- Manage project closeout processes including punch lists, turnover documentation, and delivery to owners.
- Collaborate across construction disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, project controls, and field operations.
- Experience handling RFIs, submittals, procurement activities, and project documentation.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, or Microsoft Project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or large commercial projects.
- Exposure to multiple construction disciplines throughout project phases.
- Working knowledge of commissioning, quality control, and turnover processes.
- Experience collaborating with large general contractors or EPC companies.
