Job description
Overview
This contract role as a Project Coordinator is based in Toronto, ON, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3-4 days onsite. The position is pivotal in managing security assessment engagements while coordinating between internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for internal partners; consistently monitor various service request platforms such as Jira Service Desk and Outlook mailboxes.
- Conduct initial assessments of incoming security requests, verifying the engagement details and validating response accuracy.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, enterprise application teams, and other stakeholders to schedule security assessments aligned with compliance requirements.
- Create and track program timelines, highlight critical milestones, and proactively address potential scheduling challenges.
- Guide security assessment activities by responding promptly to requests, clarifying policies, standards, and processes, and managing inquiries related to security assessments and issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation concerning programs and engagements, including process documents and team communication platforms.
- Prepare management and executive reports such as engagement metrics and audit documentation.
- Support the Senior Manager in vendor management tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in large IT environments, particularly in operational services, PMO, or managing multiple project implementations.
- Strong multitasking capabilities for managing numerous incoming requests efficiently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of IT development and information security principles.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC), including secure development practices.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic setting with frequently changing priorities.
- Self-driven with minimal need for supervision.
