About the Role
Join a prominent New Zealand organisation engaged in a vital payroll transformation project. This initiative aims to implement a modern payroll platform that complies fully with New Zealand legislation, integrates effectively with HR and finance systems, and enhances stakeholder and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire lifecycle of the payroll platform replacement and compliance programme from initiation through to post-implementation stabilization.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Payroll, HR, Finance, IT departments, and external vendors.
- Manage compliance efforts related to the Holidays Act 2003, including gap analysis, remediation plans, validation, and audit preparation.
- Supervise integration activities linking HRIS, payroll, finance, rostering, and time & attendance systems.
- Drive change management initiatives, deliver training, and prepare the business for smooth adoption of the new system.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience managing complex payroll, HRIS, or workforce management implementation projects within New Zealand.
- Strong knowledge of the Holidays Act 2003 and payroll statutory compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Workday, PayGlobal, iPayroll, ELMO, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar solutions.
- Advanced project management skills including governance, planning, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Proven capability in vendor oversight and leading cross-functional teams in large-scale transformation programs.
- Excellent ability to communicate technical details in a clear business context.
- Experience in managing change processes, User Acceptance Testing, data migration, and business readiness activities.
