Role overview
We are hiring an experienced Program Engineer or Senior Program Engineer to support engineering programs in the precision engineering and semiconductor space. The role is focused on coordinating technical work, managing delivery timelines, and ensuring projects are completed in line with client expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
This position acts as a connector between engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, structured project coordination skills, and the ability to handle several complex assignments at the same time.
What the job involves
The role centers on managing the technical and operational side of high-precision engineering projects. It supports the full cycle from planning and development through execution, validation, and final delivery. The engineer helps ensure that precision-built products are designed, manufactured, and delivered with the required standards of accuracy and performance.
Project coordination
- Create and maintain detailed plans, schedules, and budgets for precision engineering programs.
- Work closely with NPI, manufacturing, and quality teams to keep project goals on track.
- Track progress regularly and address technical or logistics-related issues as they emerge.
Engineering support
- Contribute technical input for precision processes such as CNC machining, micro-fabrication, and metrology.
- Support prototype development and confirm that designs can be manufactured effectively.
- Carry out feasibility checks and assess risks for highly precise parts and systems.
Quality assurance
- Make sure every project meets the strict tolerance and quality requirements expected in precision engineering.
- Coordinate inspection, testing, and validation activities for parts and assemblies.
Stakeholder communication
- Serve as the main contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams for technical and program updates.
- Prepare and deliver progress updates, technical documents, and risk summaries for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in program or project engineering within precision engineering or manufacturing.
- Practical exposure to CNC machining, CAD/CAM tools, and high-precision measurement equipment is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of precision manufacturing methods and material behavior.
- Ability to use engineering tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Good project management capability, including familiarity with MS Project or similar tools.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 is preferred.
- Experience handling customer relationships in semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or analytical life sciences environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced processes such as additive manufacturing and laser machining is an added advantage.
Performance focus
- Keeping projects aligned with timelines and budgets.
- Meeting quality and precision targets.
- Maintaining strong satisfaction among clients and stakeholders.
