About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Prepare invoices and keep precise records of program financial transactions.
Examine expenses, cost of goods sold, forecasts, and financial reports to facilitate sound fiscal management.
Investigate data sets to detect inconsistencies and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Create and update financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools utilizing Excel and other software platforms.
Employ AI-enhanced applications to improve analysis, reporting productivity, and operational insights.
Assist with program documentation, organize data management, and recommend process improvements continuously.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal departments, external stakeholders, and program partners.
Manage multiple priorities efficiently while working independently and contributing to team goals.
Support occasional program tasks and travel required within Indigenous communities.

Candidate Profile

1-2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial operations, or a related sector.
Solid knowledge of invoicing, expense monitoring, financial reporting, and ensuring data precision.
Strong attention to detail with the capability to identify errors and discrepancies.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, comfortable handling extensive datasets.
Preferred experience with AI analytical tools such as Copilot or Claude.
Familiarity with Power Query and/or Power BI considered an advantage.
Degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, or similar fields is preferred.
Experience with energy efficiency programs, utility projects, or Indigenous community initiatives is beneficial.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Capability to perform well autonomously and collaboratively in a remote work environment.

This role supports remote work within Canada, focusing on the Central to Atlantic time zones.
Hourly pay ranges approximately from 26 to 28 Canadian dollars.
