About the Company and Role
Timber Acoustics, based in Faridabad, Haryana, seeks a disciplined and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily shopfloor and dispatch operations. This full-time position demands managing teams, ensuring product quality, and facilitating timely completion and delivery of orders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily production activities on the shopfloor to meet schedule demands.
- Supervise diverse staff including helpers, carpenters, machine operators, and packaging personnel.
- Assign tasks based on production priorities and dispatch timetables.
- Collaborate closely with sales, design, production, packing, and dispatch departments.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, productivity, and accountability among workers.
- Track raw materials, WIP, finished goods, packing materials, and inventory levels through regular audits.
- Implement quality control measures at every production phase and inspect items pre-dispatch.
- Work to minimize material wastage, errors, rework, and delays.
- Keep detailed records of production, inventory, quality checks, and dispatch reports.
- Ensure correct packing, labelling, and dispatch of customer orders as per schedules.
- Train new recruits and enhance performance of existing team members.
- Foster a motivated, reliable, and efficient shopfloor workforce.
- Ensure maintenance of machinery, tools, workstations, and workplaces according to standards.
- Enforce workplace safety, cleanliness, and standard operating procedures.
- Report daily production status, manpower and material updates to management.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in production, factory, shopfloor, or dispatch roles.
- Preferably experienced in furniture, wood products, manufacturing, fabrication, interiors, acoustic products, or packaging sectors.
- Proven ability to lead helpers, workers, and machine operators effectively and professionally.
- Organized, disciplined, responsible, and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of production planning, inventory and quality management, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Skillful in identifying bottlenecks and resolving shopfloor issues swiftly.
- Basic proficiency with Excel, WhatsApp communications, inventory and production documentation.
- Good communication skills in Hindi; basic English is advantageous.
- Strong ownership of production targets and dispatch timelines expected.
