Production Supervisor

About the Role

Joining Electronic Technologies International/American Cable & Harness in Fort Atkinson, WI, the Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and oversees all manufacturing operations including wire harness, cable assemblies, printed circuit boards, control panel assemblies, and related processes. This role ensures safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams setting clear performance expectations and goals.
• Handle coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development.
• Build strong employee engagement and accountability.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and spearhead continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity enhancements.
• Drive root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Standardize work processes and controls.
• Facilitate Kaizen and other operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage manufacturing workflows, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure production schedules and capacity utilization meet targets.
• Support equipment setup, maintenance, and optimization efforts.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
• Support quality programs and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree preferred in Manufacturing, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
• At least five years of manufacturing experience with minimum three years in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Experience in wire harness assembly, PCB assembly, electromechanical manufacturing is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop successful teams.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and operational problem-solving.
• Familiarity with production scheduling, capacity planning, manufacturing metrics, ISO quality systems, and ERP/MRP software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
