About the Role

We are looking for a Product Owner to join ASB's Identity & Integration (I&I) Platform team. This role involves leading delivery squads responsible for Integration, Data Serving Layer, and System Orchestration capabilities that support crucial technology services throughout the bank.

You will direct squads to build key platform capabilities, overseeing backlog prioritization aligned with the overall platform, technology, and ASB strategies. You will make delivery decisions balancing customer value, platform health, risk, and business outcomes, and develop roadmaps for platform services.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and technology stakeholders to coordinate dependencies and enable delivery of secure, resilient technology solutions. You will foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and improvement, track and communicate outcomes against platform goals, and manage risks and blockers in line with ASB's governance and risk frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery squads for Integration, Data Serving Layer, and System Orchestration platform capabilities.
• Own and prioritize squad backlogs aligning with platform and business strategy.
• Make delivery trade-offs balancing customer value, platform stability, and risk.
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps for key services.
• Collaborate extensively with technical and security teams to manage dependencies.
• Create and refine epics, features, and backlog items.
• Promote a safe environment encouraging experimentation and continuous improvement.
• Measure and report outcomes aligned to platform objectives and key results.
• Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with ASB’s delivery model, governance, and risk control standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven leadership of cross-functional delivery squads in complex technical environments.
• Strong Product Owner experience with platform or enterprise technology teams.
• Technical domain expertise in Integration, Data Serving Layer, or System Orchestration.
• Deep understanding of modern integration architectures, including API-led architectures, system orchestration, event-driven systems, and data-serving layers.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and technical delivery teams.
• Proficiency in backlog prioritization and managing dependencies across multiple streams.
• Strong attention to detail paired with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Resilient, adaptable, and pragmatic approach to delivery.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms, API management, data serving layers, or system orchestration technologies is essential.
