Product Engineer

About The Role

Become part of a select founding team in Berlin developing an AI-centric automation platform tailored for private market operations. This venture-backed startup focuses on revolutionizing complex fund accounting, treasury, and transfer agency processes by embedding AI first, seamlessly integrating with existing infrastructure without full replacements.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive development and upkeep of the company's design system along with UX patterns to set standards across an expanding product footprint.
• Create user-friendly interfaces that connect operations teams with AI agents and various data sources such as emails, portals, banking feeds, and ERPs.
• Design and build human-in-the-loop features including review screens, approval workflows, and exception management to empower teams to confidently manage AI-driven outputs.
• Develop reusable UI components using React and TypeScript, incorporating Tailwind CSS styling, and ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct user research with private market operations professionals to identify pain points and continuously improve features.
• Engage closely with co-founders and the wider team in a dynamic, trust-based environment.

Candidate Profile

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in product or frontend engineering, or a hybrid design-engineering position.
• Proficient with React and TypeScript for modern frontend development.
• Proven track record in creating and maintaining design systems and reusable UI component libraries intended for live production products.
• Experience designing human-in-the-loop interfaces for AI/ML workflows, skillfully presenting model outputs to foster user confidence.
• Ability to devise and implement review and exception workflows within intricate operational user interfaces.
• Strong communication skills and adeptness at working directly with founders to influence product strategy.
• Eligible to work in Germany without requiring employer-sponsored visa; visa sponsorship is not provided for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to private markets, fund operations, or fintech process domains.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS framework.
• Experience in or knowledge of AI agent platforms, large language model tooling, or fintech automation companies such as Basis, Eigen, Willow, Decagon, or Dynamo AI.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary ranging between 70000 and 110000 euros, commensurate with experience.

Work Location & Conditions

This is a full-time role located onsite in Berlin, Germany. The team emphasizes working together in person. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Germany without need for visa sponsorship.
