Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and inquisitive Product Designer to craft the top interface for working with numbers globally. This role involves end-to-end ownership of design projects and key decision-making driven by your design sensibility. You'll collaborate directly with our founder and engineering team to shape the product.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design initiatives from conception to completion.
• Conduct user research and discovery to inform design decisions.
• Develop and refine information architecture.
• Create compelling UX/UI and interaction designs.

Work Environment

The team primarily works onsite in the Sydney CBD office 4-5 days a week, with flexible options for work-from-home when necessary. This hybrid approach promotes strong culture and effective collaboration at this early stage.

Tech Stack

• Product design: Figma, Linear, Lovable/Bolt
• Website development: Webflow
• Marketing collateral: Figma, Canva

We are open to evolving the tech stack but maintain Figma and Linear for product-related tasks.

Candidate Profile

• A strong portfolio showcasing a fine eye for craft, aesthetic taste, and meticulousness.
• Exceptional skills in UI design, standing out amongst peers.
• Highly creative, self-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
• End-to-end design thinker from problem identification to solution delivery.
• Proficient prototype builder with a mindset attuned to AI-native design.
• Firm grasp of design principles emphasizing usability, accessibility, and scalability.
• An eagerness to continually learn and keep pace with current design trends and tools.

Interview Process

• Introductory informal discussions with the founder and team to align goals.
• Skill demonstration via a take-home design exercise.
• A paid 2-3 day trial working onsite to experience collaboration and delivery firsthand.
