Dameasy is pioneering next-generation food and beverage solutions by blending innovation, manufacturing prowess, and a product-focused mindset. Operating in the fast-growing contract manufacturing sector, we collaborate with both emerging and seasoned brands to deliver end-to-end 'Concept to Shelf' services across a variety of food and beverage categories. Beyond manufacturing, we support product development, ingredient procurement, packaging innovation, commercialization, production, and supply chain management. We foster a collaborative environment that prizes ownership, structured thinking, commercial insight, relationship management, and continuous enhancement.
Role Overview
We seek a highly motivated and commercially savvy Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Executive to enhance our procurement and supply chain operations within contract manufacturing. This role transcends traditional purchasing functions, requiring stewardship of sourcing, supplier engagement, commercial negotiations, procurement strategies, packaging support, new product sourcing, and supply chain coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically source raw materials, ingredients, additives, processing aids, and various packaging components such as bottles, jars, caps, labels, cartons, pouches, corrugated boxes, and flexible packaging.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and nurture new suppliers across procurement categories, maintaining multiple sourcing channels to bolster competitiveness and supply reliability.
- Develop lasting supplier relationships and expand the supplier network while monitoring quality, delivery timeliness, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier performance assessments, stay abreast of market and supplier innovations, and resolve issues through proactive coordination.
- Lead price, payment terms, MOQ, delivery schedules, and commercial agreement negotiations to optimize costs without sacrificing quality or service.
- Carry out supplier comparisons, evaluate commodity pricing trends including freight, ingredients, and packaging markets.
- Support research and development by sourcing ingredients, packaging materials, and technologies, performing backward analyses of existing market products, forward research into emerging options, and competitor benchmarking.
- Assist new product development by providing commercial quotations, sourcing materials for trials, pilot batches, and commercial production, coordinating cross-functionally, and recommending commercial sourcing alternatives.
- Align procurement with production timetables and customer commitments, tracking purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory while supporting inventory optimization and mitigating supply disruptions.
- Maintain documentation including RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, supplier records, procurement trackers, databases, ERP data, and generate reports on procurement and cost optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience (36 years) in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, purchasing, or vendor development, preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, ingredients, or contract manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated strength in negotiation, commercial evaluation, and supplier management.
- Technical competency to translate requirements into sourcing solutions, particularly with raw materials and packaging procurement.
- Proficient research, benchmarking, and market intelligence skills to identify sourcing opportunities and innovative options.
- Analytical acumen applied toward structured cost optimization.
- Dynamic, proactive, with resourcefulness and persistence in resolving sourcing challenges.
- Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Ownership mindset combined with collaborative teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, and procurement documentation preparation, including commercial analyses and reporting.
