Private Equity Associate - Infrastructure

About the Role

Blacklock Financial is collaborating with a premier infrastructure investment fund seeking to hire an Associate. This position welcomes candidates from diverse industry backgrounds who possess robust mergers and acquisitions experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct screening, evaluation, and comprehensive analysis of investment opportunities to independently assess their potential appeal.
• Lead financial modeling efforts including valuations and sensitivity analyses to pinpoint competitive advantages and comprehend growth drivers.
• Participate in various stages of the due diligence process, coordinating with external service providers.
• Contribute to the creation of internal documentation and support presentation of investment propositions to the Investment Committee.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio companies by delivering ongoing analytical support and tracking their financial outcomes and investment returns.
• Initiate research on critical topics to identify emerging investment themes and opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to enhance network and market insights.
• Maintain and update a proprietary database of prospective investments.
• Perform additional duties aligned with executing the fund's investment strategy.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Candidates should have between 1 to 4 years of investment banking experience, demonstrating strong technical and analytical capabilities along with a genuine interest in energy transition and infrastructure sectors.
• Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, including a solid understanding of deal structuring and financing approaches.
• Documented experience in executing transactions successfully.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record for producing high-quality presentations and deliverables.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and the ability to seamlessly integrate into a small, collaborative team.
