Overview
This role, based in Canada, presents an opportunity to significantly influence the operational foundation of a rapidly expanding organization. The Principal, Strategic Operations will enhance how teams plan, prioritize, and deliver by partnering closely with executive leadership to establish scalable systems that convert strategy into measurable results. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously refine leadership operating systems such as planning cadences, decision-making frameworks, and rhythms for execution.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning efforts to ensure alignment of priorities, dependencies, and resources across teams.
- Advance execution of critical cross-functional projects by enhancing accountability, coordination, and follow-up.
- Create scalable documentation, operational mechanisms, and tools to facilitate efficient team execution.
- Collaborate with executives to identify organizational challenges and implement improvements that elevate decision quality and operational performance.
- Convert complex business issues into clear frameworks, actionable guidance, and measurable goals.
- Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to enhance judgment, efficiency, and decision-making processes.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of seven years in Business Operations, Strategic Operations, Chief of Staff, Management Consulting, or comparable leadership roles in high-growth settings.
- Demonstrated success in designing and scaling operational systems, planning processes, or execution frameworks within growing organizations.
- Experience collaborating directly with founders and senior executives on company-wide initiatives.
- Exceptional written communication skills capable of distilling complex information into straightforward decisions and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and systems thinking skills with an emphasis on root-cause analysis and scalable solution development.
- Executive presence and sound judgment with the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous contexts while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficiency with AI technologies, including leveraging AI tools effectively and understanding their limitations.
- Familiarity with organizational planning methods like OKRs, quarterly business reviews, or annual planning is advantageous.
- Experience using modern collaboration and productivity platforms such as Notion, Linear, Slack, analytics tools, and AI assistants is preferred.
