Pool Attendant

Overview

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety in pool areas to create an enjoyable environment for guests participating in recreational activities. The attendant carries out cleaning duties on the pool deck and fosters a positive atmosphere by maintaining an enthusiastic and friendly demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness by washing, mopping, and tidying the pool deck.
• Encourage a fun and relaxing environment for guests in recreational zones through positive engagement.
• Monitor recreational activities and react correctly to emergencies following established procedures.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety.
• Identify guests unable to safely participate in activities and promptly inform supervisory staff.
• Provide first aid assistance to injured guests until emergency medical help arrives.
• Manage towel supplies by collecting, folding, and stacking according to set guidelines.

Safety and Compliance

• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Complete required safety training and maintain necessary certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
• Follow company policies strictly, ensure professional and clean appearance, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Protect company assets and adhere to quality assurance standards.

Guest Relations and Communication

• Welcome and acknowledge guests professionally, anticipating and responding to service needs including assisting guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and team members.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with colleagues to support a cooperative work environment.

Physical Requirements and Other Duties

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces safely.
• Manipulate objects with fine motor skills and maintain visual attention to detail in inspecting equipment.
• Use technology to enter and retrieve work-related data as required.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience mandatory.
• Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, and any additional certifications mandated by local or state authorities.
